Homestead Everglades Posse

The Homestead Everglades Posse was established in 1951 and is a non-profit organization. The Posse’s purpose is to promote better sportsmanship, horsemanship and, or course, more fun on horseback. All riders in the Posse are amateurs, riding and training their own horse. The Posse has both youth and adult riders.

Posse has ridden in the Homestead Rodeo every year since 1952 performing a synchronized drill pattern on horseback. The Posse also performs in parades such as the Veteran’s Day Parade, Jr. Orange Bowl Parade and the Homestead Rodeo parade. The group has also performed at the Agricultural and Cattleman show as well as other various horse shows both in Homestead and in Davie. The Posse has Play Days and various fundraisers throughout the year as well.
