The famed Budweiser Clydesdales at the Homestead Rodeo on February 3, 1986. The team has appeared several times at the Homestead Rodeo. Clydesdales are descended from the great war horses of Europe . In the Clyde Valley in Lanarkshire, Scotland local mares were crossed with the heavier Flemish stallions first imported in the early eighteenth century. The Budweiser Clydesdale Stables at Grant’s Farm in St. Louis , Missouri is home to approximately 35 Clydesdale mares, stallions and foals.
